Project GMC Sucka! - H440 Haswell

thanks guys :)

Didn't know they did black crossfire cables.....where!

Will get some more pics up when I get a chance....finger currently hanging over the BUY on the 2nd kraken plate but the other AIO cooler hasn't arrived yet so may as well wait til Monday :(

I used a NZXT H630 for a friends build. I had an original NZXT Hush case and it was pants. Great to see they've impoved so much. All you need is a red GMC logo on the front and a little spoiler on the back. Oh and the A Team theme song when you login. That may get annoying after a few days.

Gmc logo is tempting lol.....ebay search!

Idleman on these very forums has sorted me out with a black crossfire bridge now :)

Happy days

In bed ill today so thought I would have a nose about on ocuk.....(read as stare at that 2nd G10 adaptor I need)

Turns out they have reduced them by £5 again so only £19.99 :).....cant wait for Tuesday, cheers OCuk :)

Looking good,

Wondering, has the G10's on the 7950's made them thicker? I am now tempted to get a pair for my cards but i am not 100% sure on the spacing.

oh and what AIO coolers are you using fo the G10's

AIO's are Antec Kuhler 620 units, seem to do a great job.

I had 2 and a bit slot high HIS coolers on mine and these are no bigger, maybe a bit thinner tbh :)

Corsair H55/Kuhler 620 are more than enough for a GPU. Remember, they're designed for CPUs which are larger and far hotter than any GPU core.

I had a 620 on a GTX 480 once and I managed 960mhz @ 63c Furmark torture (not just the time limited benchmark but an hour of torture). It was so fast that I was hitting over stock 7950 speeds.

Absolutely insane clocks !

OP - nice build man I like it very much :) love a bit of black and red, me !

I'm just about to put my Titan Blacks under AIOs. I got H55 because there's some refurbs going around for £29 each but they're pretty much the same identical thing to the 620.

Going to have to wait a bit because I need to sort some kind of VRM cooling out.

Yeah I was very lucky that the HIS ICEQ cards I have come fitted with some massive black heat sink on VRMs as standard which was nice :)

Holy thread revival!

Final update for the build as going to be a dad again Christmas day so the toy purchases go from RAM to rattles lol

Have ticked I think all the boxes in my future "wants" from original build post. Now have what's in my sig.....

So glad I did it. Such a fast, good looking thing now. Very proud of it
