Project: Industrial Zalman

Thoughts on the case was good value for money every thing feels very well made apart from the HDD cage but that might of been down to me trying to get all the paint off with wire wool and pressing on very hard but it with stood it so fair play i cant see why any one would chose any other case with below £50 budget the antec 300 just looks boring and not as good ventalation the only other case i would go for is the Xigmatek Asgard its got the same number of fan intakes it pre painted internally and is £22 cheaper nearly half the price keep your eyes peeled because ill be doing a build with that case next week for a freind so i can give you my opinions because i find not many people do reviews on these little cases and answer the questions people really want to know which is wierd as there the most bought lol

Holy no punctuation Batman!!! ;)

It's a great build though and your cable management is brilliant!! I shall certainly be looking very closely at it for tips when I build my new system next month!!!

Not sure what case I'll be getting though might be the the Z9+ I like the amount of space it has.

Really liked the way you stacked the SATA cables together and the power lead you put together, both really neat and good for space saving!

I'm hoping I'll be able to afford to include a modulat psu in my build when the time comes as the psu in my current (ancient) pc isn't modular and all the leads that aren't used take up so much room it just isn't funny!!!

i know what your saying if you look when I 1st put the case together, it had a none modular psu and was a nightmare to cable. Also when you go modular you can alter any of the leads that arnt hardwired to your psu without voiding your warrenty. so worth the money 100% in my opinion

If you get a good one it will last you though many builds. I would say get a minimum 850 for any system if you looking to upgrade as 850 is normally be enough to run most high end sli/crossfire system like 470's and 6950's i had my other 850w toughpower well over 4 years only reason it got swapped is because i want tri sli it never ends :o lol

I've got to say this build looks a lot better now its water cooled, the cables looks a lot better now. The sleeving on the tubing looks great. All in all a great build and looks good with the industrial look.

i know it looked dire to begin with but pretty happy with the results now i might change the motherboard still for asthetic reasons yet for some thing a little less colourfull

Really sorry to bump an old thread ( ) but what tubing is that you are/were using in the watercooling loop?

*edit* oh you braided them yourself? Crap, now I really did just bump for no reason :D

*fades discretely off into the background*

*edit again* Psst, T, if we edge away slowly, they might not notice that I bumped a 17 month old dead thread because I can't read.

WOW! You have no idea how to paint.

You have to give the surface a key for the paint to stick to and then give it a good clean, im not surprised the paint came off.

Im also surprised nobody else has pointed this out, almost a little annoyed about the fact he got a refund on paint which had nothing wrong with it. User error.

Care to elaborate on that "key" comment? I'm looking for guidance on painting my rig (touching up a Corsair 700D) but so far no takers...

As in giving the surface a key for the paint to adhere to.

Scotch pad or 240 grit sandpaper will do the trick.

However with your situation I wouldnt start rubbing it down because chances are you would need to redo the whole panel.

Great, now this thread is bumped beyond repair :p

Oh and congrats on insulting someones paintwork from four years ago abarth 1200.

Is it cos you are jelly of his new rig..? ;)

Yeah thats it. And if you want to go there it almost looks like I insulted everyone else who commented on his post for not picking up his error.

Don't worry about being jealous of his PC, I am :D

Let us not argue, "let us overcome out petty differences and just be friends, let us focus on the force which ties us all together."

Lol only just saw these comments from last year and the paint I used was fire place paint I thought it would stuck better than it did lol and brought it due to that it could with stand high heat but it wasn't ment to be touched once applied which was no good when installing hardware, and I use hammorite now.

The case shouldn't off needed any prepping it was bare steel on a brand new case the user error was buying the wrong paint! :D

Any way sorry to revive an old thread again :p
