Hi Guys

A fairly unique opportunity here.

Our friends at Silverstone Tek are looking for a UK based modder within our forum community to support on a modding project.

We are looking for a creative modder with a good track record in system building and case modding but this does not rule out newcomers.

Please feel free to share this opportunity with other modders you know who may be interested.

This is a rare chance to gain the support of a Premium hardware vendor to back your build, and also to have your work showcased via multiple media channels.

For any PC Modder - This is unmissable.

Here are some rules:
- You must be an OcUK Forum Member [post count not important]
- Your project can be posted on any other forums but must be posted on OcUK forums and the project must be clearly outlined as being supported by Silverstone and OcUK.
- The Hardware supplied by Silverstone will be agreed and negotiated with the chosen candidate depending on project plans and previous track record.
- This opportunity is open to OcUK Staff members & Vendors
- Entries with creative ideas around Silverstone Cases will take priority

To enter, simply copy this form below and fill out the info.
Then post it in the private 'New Product Suggestions' section of the forums under the title:

My vote goes to that plasma cannon guy. Hands down beats all those modders who like to throw a bit of spray paint their motherboards or cut their case to house a larger rad.

thats not how it works really.

he would need to apply :)

What is the deadline on this? i would like to enter but would also like to get a proper plan together first.

no real deadline.

I was going to keep it open until the right candidate came along. you are talking at least two weeks before we even consider picking someone which is ample time to get stuff together.

Great, thanks. Also, can i just say to whomever at Silverstone and OCUK were involved in this, well done, its a great opportunity for us all. :)

Silverstone have asked me to put forward any modders I know.
my idea to involve the community and offer the opportunity to everyone was essentially a drive to gain a little more interest in our project logs section as well as attracting some more high profile modders to the OcUK forums.

If this works well, we would be looking at offering similar incentive opportunities with other key brand partners who are looking to use their brand name to add value to our community.

What if we don't like any of the Silverstone cases? ;)

well, the OP mentions that you can choose not to use a Silverstone chassis but realistically the whole point of it is to do a modding project that allows the brand to get behind the candidate.

Important: I have had three entries so far from people who have misunderstood the OP and think that Silverstone are paying for tri SLI titan blacks and x79 systems for them.

Silverstone will be sponsoring the candidate with Silverstone products. The rest of the items inside the build must be your own or sourced yourself.

We will not be picking someone who has specced a £8k dream PC for themselves with no intention of building it.

Haha, I foresaw this.
Might be worth making it a bit clearer that it's only silverstone products silverstone would supply (I don't know why people would assume otherwise :p )
