** Project Log & Modding Enthusiasts - Look Here!**

My vote goes to that plasma cannon guy. Hands down beats all those modders who like to throw a bit of spray paint their motherboards or cut their case to house a larger rad.

I was with you until the rolleyes, though I don't think you get the difference between modding and creating a scratch build.

I really hope someone does a really interesting SFF build. Siverstone have some good small cases, and I think it's a field we don't see enough of. Also would make sense for people who don't want to lay out loads of dosh on trifire to make it impressive (nothing less sexy than a full tower case with one card after all).

Let's see a badass HTPC/living room gaming build!

Very cool idea and I look forwards to the ensuing thread!

So what you want is something that isn't actually modding.... You want a scratch build, which isn't what Silverstone will be wanting...

Yes Silverstone will be very happy to give you the case and then you go nuts with a dremel :D I dont think they care as long as there is sponsor logo of them

This I assume is more up to the person who wants to offer their services for the build. OcUK & Silverstone will no doubt talk about the options that have come in and decide for themselves which way they want to go.

Once someone has been selected and it's underway it would be interesting to see all the options that people supplied. And maybe at the end it would also be good to have a paragraph on why OcUK, Silverstone and the chosen modder selected the options/design that they have?

I think this is a great opportunity and kudos to OcUK for trying to bring up their profile as a place for some serious modding (not that I think it wasn't serious beforehand).
This can only be win win for everyone who uses these forums as a place to show their builds as it could lead to more such incentive mods in the future.

I'll to have a think about this and see if I can submit something, (rushes off to check out silverstone products)

I do wonder though why some people have obviously thought this was some free give away for thousands of pounds worth of gear to build a pc with. The OP is quite clear.

Would love to take part in this if I could afford the rest of the rig to build into it.

If people had hardware already and just came up with a creative way to reuse it in a new mod or build then that would be fine.

nothing says the hardware has to be brand new.

Doh, I've made plans to modify my Silverstone FT03 and come up with something that hasn't been done before. I have already bought the case, Strider PSU and have ordered a couple of spare panels direct from Silverstone. They should hopefully arrive in the next couple of weeks. Seems my timing isn't great :/

Bumping this back up again guys, plenty of entries so far but nothing really standing out. This is an incredible opportunity here.

I have a project coming up but it will be a long shot, nothing that will show results in nearest future.
And so far my only project that was finished successfully (lets say around 90% finished) is my current one, Radster.
So I will have to pass and hope for future opportunities.

I have something that would suit Silverstone very well; a small ITX build. I was planning on getting a Tundra TD03, putting it in an Elite 130, and modding it all white with some black and gold mixed in. An SG05 would probably fit the bill even better.

I don't really have anything to show for it right now though, still planning.

Might be worth entering, I could start next week.

Some more entries over the weekend.

I am going to close this offer towards the weekend and review it with Silverstone.

Anyone thinking of entering, please do so as quickly as possible!

Put myself forward too
With the school summer holiday ending next week and my new job being mostly evening and weekend I have some time free to do this.
Was planning on doing another SFF project anyway so this will just give me access to better parts.
Hope one of us has an idea that is worth presenting to Silverstone, would be a shame to see this amount to nothing.
Thanks for all the time and effort that gone into this btw - gl to all

my entry i thought would be an awesome showpiece. it uses an inexpensive case and the theme not only fits the name of the case the front of the case is similar to the object giving me inspiration. im interested to see what they do pick i entered before the 'nothing stood out as yet' comment so im not holding out. if i dont win ill quite happily share my idea.
