Project MEGA DEBLOW - Watercooled Desk Mod

Wow is all I can say - and all this with a broken leg(ouch) Hats off to you, this is a superb effort and looks really nice. Care to do one for me?

Its been very hard at times with my broken leg :(

Ordered myself some black tights ( wife got a bit suspicious when they arrived lol)
and some thin light wood to make a fan hole cover, this will go on the base of the desk near the PSU, and will eliminate the need for 120mm fan dust covers

Thanks JC, should have some desk pics up a bit later on, just working in the tubing & wiring atm

the wires are a pain, and I've accidentally dropped some water on my fan controllers PCB :(

Should be ok if you leave it to dry - help it along with a hairdryer perhaps?
Btw where do you get your wrap from - you have inspired me to get a little project of my own together.

I stuck it on the radiator until just now when i got back home, it looks to be working fine now,
panic over :D

Thanks for the tip, would have been my next move.

I have been using carbon wrap for a couple of years now, i started using it on my motorbikes then my wife's car, and now on the PC
I've used lots of ebay sellers in the past, don't think you can go wrong with most of them,
the green is 4D most of the black is also 4D, but for the very best effect your best with 3D carbon and then clear coat over the top,
looks amazing and if i was a bit more mobile i would have used 3D and clear coat

Took some doing, but Finally worked out a way to keep the matrix LED's

14/04/2014 - Just noticed i forgot to add the fan photos, so here they are
CM Jet Flows - plane black no LED's

Nice to have 2 speed controllers included with the fan, 1200rpm & 1600rpm

forgive the sawdust didn't look that bad without the camera flash lol
removable rubber ends!, if i had not already cut the wood i would have removed the four fan ends and cut circles not squares as the fans are about the same thickness as the wood and would have looked great.

Thanks Mark :)

The more I see the colour of that coolant the more I love it, great work

Thanks Hawkhench,
the water is pure and clear, the tubes are UV green :D
I decided to light the water with LEDs, then when i get bored of a color i can change easy to another, the only thing i wont be able to change is the tubing color.

was going to update with some more pics but Photobucket down for maintenance atm so cant upload any :(

Hi, sorry i have not replied yet. Ive been having slow internet issues, like dial up speeds! I wanted to say thanks for diagram on the switches. Thats a big help. What cables did you use? Do you think i should use existing case wires or buy new cable?. I need to post some updates on my coca cola can pc, i too share your misery with photobucket. Your mods are coming along great, loving your handy work with the carbon. Really tidy work.
