(Radiolaria is the white milk-like substance [heh] the Vex in Destiny/Destiny2 are made of. The link above will explain what it is, unless you're a Destiny fan then you should know already by now!)

I'm normally terrible at names and even worse with projects, but here it goes!

I chose this name because I have been playing Destiny lately (PS4, boo) and I was thinking of changing the fluid in my TJ07 build to White, even though the rest of the case wasn't very Destiny nor Vex-like. But then I looked at the case and then looked at other people's builds, especially some of the builds done in the Lian-Li PC-O11WGX Rog Edition case with their Core i9's and whatnot and thought it's time for a change!

Besides my 3D Printed Ghost in some of the shots and because I want to go RGB (hence the parts I chose below), this build isn't strictly going to be just like the Vex. But the various maps in Destiny 2 are full of RGB colours and the ruins in the maps have glowing colourful structures and neon signs as it has quite a dystopian cyber punk feel and the ROG themes on the PC-O11WGX are like the Vex structures in the game...so...it fits! So anyway on to the spec...

So, here's what I've got for my build so far, followed by some quick shots using my Fuji X-T2.
Note, I'm not a professional but I like taking snaps. You can view my Flikr page HERE (shameless plug :p)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,392.87 (includes shipping: £0.00)

I already have:
- Corsair AX 1500i Modular PSU
- AquaComputer Aquaero 6 XT (Blue LCD) Controller - Not sure where to put this, either sitting on the floor behind the Tempered Glass window or hidden in the side (Don't really want to cut/mod my brand new expensive case)
- AquaComputer Aqualis 6 XT w/Nano Coating and Fountain Effect & Fill level sensor mounted on Acetal D5 Pump Adapter
- AquaComputer Flow Sensor's (x2)
- 2x Asus Strix OC GTX 980 Ti w/EK Nickel Plexi Waterblocks & Plexi SLI Terminal Block
- Primochill Flow indicator (UV)

I need your advice!

I have some decisions to make about the following parts and I need your input! So please do help me out!

I tried adding a Poll but the BBCode doesn't work so going to do it this way instead:

Colour of Fittings:
EDIT:

Went with the white Monsoon EV2 13mm/10mm fittings!

Fans:
EDIT: Thanks to @orbitalwalsh, I'll be going with Phanteks Halos fan frames for RGB (Lux vs normal, not sure yet, one is plastic the other costs more and is aluminium).
Going to stick with my Gentle Typhoons!

Fluid:
As the name of the Build is about White Fluid (heh) I want to go for Fluid as White or Milky (heh) as possible but fluid that will last and not break down and clog up my blocks.
-

[*] 1 x Mayhems Pastel Extreme White 100ml= £14.99
[*] 1 x Mayhems Pastel - Ice White Coolant 1L= £10.99
[*] 1 x Mayhems Pastel - UV White Coolant 1L= £10.99
OR

Wait for Primochill Vue White which basically looks identical to Radiolaria

GPU's:

I have two Asus ROG PG279 1440P@165Hz Monitors, would the additional performance of GTX 1080 Ti's be worth replacing the 980 Ti's?

- Keep the 2x Asus Strix OC 980Ti's I already have in my TJ07
- Buy 1 or 2 Asus Strix GTX 1080 Ti's and waterblocks (Phanteks have RGB blocks!!)

If you have any alternatives to the choices that would also be great

Challenges:

Radiators
This case can take 3x360's. I will need 1 Slim one if I want to fit one next to the Motherboard Tray. The Top and Bottom can take thick 360 rad's but with 3 radiator's it might cause issues with clearance, especially when planning tubing routes even though it's such a huge case. So 40mm max Radiators in the top and bottom with push or pull.

So for the Slim Rad I'm looking at:

* Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis 360 GTS

The Top and Bottom Rad's I'm looking at either

* Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis 360 GTX (fantastic rad) or
* EK Coolstream PE 360 Rad.

Both perform quite well although the HWLabs appears to take the lead according to a well known reviewer.

I'm leaning towards the Hardware Labs Radiator's as they constantly thrash thermal tests. 3 360mm rads will give me plenty of thermal headroom for that toasty i9-7900x that I will be having a play with and GTX 980 Ti's which in my current system I overclock the boost clock to 1430mhz (forgot what it boosts to in games but it does well)

Any recommendations?

Reservoir/Pump Combo
As mentioned in the last post I have an Aqualis 6 XT 440ml Pump/Res combo and all the other Aqua Computer stuff that fits it, however the mount for it is a vertical mount designed to be screwed into holes drilled into the case. But I will have Fans mounted to a slim 360mm in the Motherboard tray so it can't be fixed there.

So I have three options:

- Get an EK Pump/Res combo (Should I go D5 or DDC?), use the 120mm fan bracket and screw it into the Bottom Rad to mount that way and lose the Fountain effect.
- Use one of these EK-UNI brackets to somehow get the Aqualis bracket to fit on to it (I expect some modding involved?) and use my existing Aqualis res (in which case I'll be able to buy the longer 880ml tube to upgrade the res to a bigger res, depending on clearance)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £15.94 (includes shipping: £0.00)

- Or use this bracket from Aqua Computer (Fits to their rad's but looks like it'll fit on standard 360mm x 120mm fan mounts, so it should work without modding!

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £23.99 (includes shipping: £0.00)

- Or this, seems like it might work too:

Welcome any help/advice!

PETG Tubing
The challenge is that this will be the first time I will be doing Hardline Tubing, so the challenge is trying not to waste 10 pieces of tube with failed bends! Tips and tricks are welcome!

Phanteks Halo RGB fan covers. Get to use any fans you like with RGB driven by the Mobo

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/31190274/
Ahhhh yeahhhhh, I did actually see your build but I totally forgot about those! Those are really nice! :p. Thanks for the recommendation, this would help with the cable management going without all those controllers RGB fans have, and it works with Aura sync for those effects I wanted.

SOLD! :D

Now just to figure out what static fans to get. I have a bunch of SP120's (non-RGB, with the swappable rings) and a load of the old GT's still lying about. But I might just get new fans anyway if there's any performance improvement. EK Vardar's, or fan's that would compliment the fan covers more (white or transparent fins maybe?).

Any fan that has a white/forested or transparent blade would illuminate more, but I tend to only use Silent Wing 3s for orsoanl builds as they are one of the best with noctua fans. RGB does highlight the groves in the fins nicely hand has more of a diffused look then a disco
But their mounting is a bit of a pain with the halo rings if your mounting direct to case chassis and not a rad

The Ram looks great, I was going to go for that but was out of stock at reasonable prices. Went for the Teamgroup Nighthawk RGB, very happy with the performance but must admit think the G-Skill has a better finish.

Yeah it uses the same Samsung chips as the Teamgroup stuff so expect similar levels of tweaking, considering the price difference they better!

Nice. I'm going to get the plastic halos and the RGB cable and then test how they look with my GT's. The Vardar whites would be superior aesthetics wise but noise/performance is higher than GT's but then again I'm not sure if it makes any real world difference as I'll be using them with HWLabs radiators which are much less restrictive than the EK's

I had them GSKILLS in my basket on Amazon @ £169.99 but was undecided what chip to go for and left it too long before they went out of stock! Managed to get the Teamgroup for the same cost luckily before they have gone to over £200.

Have mine running 3200 which as little nudge to 1.4v but rock solid stable with my 1600 Ryzen @ 3.8.

:o:eek: £169.99? What speed? That's dirt cheap. Last time I bought RAM that cheap was when DDR3 first came out, now they cost the same as a CPU! Like living in the 70's again
