Does anyone know of any good servers that are running this? Ones that normally have some form of admin on as well.

Trying to find a decent one at the moment is harder than you think.....

Not played for a while but a few months back the iGi server was my favourite, decent people, always an admin and always reasonably good squads

When i go on once or twice a week i always go for the tactical gamers server (TG), but its a struggle to get in most nights. I find that most other servers dont seem to have many squads that work well, TG has many of the guys i have had great games with and try and search for them to try and join up with.

Some nights its a waste of 2+ hours as im hopping from one squad to another trying to get one that works. Some nights i jump in the first squad and spent 5+ hours with them over a few maps.

Great mod, wish i had more time to play it.

I usually get pulled into playing on the Gamers-crib server. The trouble is when we are not on (as admins) it seems to stay empty. Even when we are there the number of players only grow slowly.

aix2 has to be the best mod ive played for BF2

I usually find that the above servers are well administered and generally have a decent bunch of people playing.

Aix2 map pack. But some time It says I dont have the map on the server that is playing.

PR is hard core, if you dont like it then try out the training servers because the respawn is instant on them and you can learn the vehicles without being punished with 5 minute respawn times like PR sometimes has

Voip is essential so you need to have a mic to play it properly

I remember playing PR ages ago and hated the fact that it's inaccessible and felt very distant.You were lucky if you even spotted an enemy let alone actually engaged in battle.

Has anything changed ? where is the fun in joining a game having 5 minute respawns not being able to pilot anything and basically spending a lot of the time not having fun.

Reality is boring give me desert combat any day.

It is extreme, if anything they made it less like bf2 since then and more like a rts then a fps.

You would only get a 5 minute spawn time if you had choosen to play an unarmed civilian and were arrested by the british army, a bit like being the vip on old game of CS.

Normally its 1 minute or less and if you want instant respawn they have made a training mode where you can just fly or drive any vehicle you like in a instant deathmatch kind of mode if thats preferred

I solved my CTDs by patching the BF2.exe to include 3GB support.
