Project Shrink Ray (or something better)

The 5850 was doing nearly 90°C within 20 minutes of gaming. Furmark, the temperature would just keep rising (I usually aborted at 90°C).
 
Ouch bad news mate...get yourself a 6 core AMD and see the temps drop its what i did in the end, oh and the side fan (that was mocked earlier in this thread ;))
 
I think the main problem is shoe-horning the radiator in kills off the airflow. There's a warm radiator, meaning that all the air from the front fans is sent over all the components, and there are no exhaust fans, and few exhaust holes.

I'm changing case for the next build - and it should be something special, so keep your eyes peeled... :p
 
I'd been watching the Da Box since it was announced on [H] Forum. As good as it is, it doesn't suit my needs/vision.

I'm going to be moving to a larger case - probably a test-bench type case.
 
Should watercool the GPU as well, i've seen a few water builds in that case that water CPU and GPU.
