Project Skylake: the dark knight rises

Thats a cracking transformation, excellent work on your PC as it looks like it was well worth it :)

Just wondering, is there anything special you need or anything to be aware of when drilling out rivets and can you replace them with screws etc ?

I've done it a couple of times, make sure you don't go through another panel! You could use some self taping screws but it would look pretty awful, I used rivets when putting it back :)

Build looks great by the way!

Thanks :) yep its pretty easy to drill out rivets, trick is, if they start spinning with the drill bit, tilt the drill over slightly. just don't push too hard.
a cheap rivet kit is only £10-15 and they look much better than screws.

Thanks for that mate, I'm looking to pass my HAF X on to my son after building a new rig in the new year. This looks very sweet, so much more visibility of internals!

happy days, Coolermaster did make an amazing line of cases, mine is probably over 5 years old now and all it takes is a lick of paint (ok and maybe a new side window) to make it look brand new.
and good luck with your build :)
