Project: Temjin-M

It because of how the TJ11 mounts the mobo, does it 90 degrees.

Thanks for the clean up rich.

I'm glad that the mobos red isn't as bright as I thought it was. I might actually leave it as it for look good!

overuse of spoiler tags mate.

people just wanna see your pics :)

Apologies, thought itd neaten thugs up:p

I'll stop usig them

loving the hourly updates

unlucky on the psu, the sleeving pretty much warranty voids it.

PSU was overheating, and is on now.

It's 100% modular and I have a spare set of cables so it's all good :D

Thanks for another cleanup rjk :(

Ok, I've had a look at the case and it is HUGE!!!

I'll get some pics up of it next to my TJ07

My pland have changed slightly. I think i'll have CPU, and GPU's in one loop using a 480 EX rad at the bottom.

Then have another 240 mm EX rad in the bottom for mother board an two RAM blocks.

I think there may be space for another 120 rad up at the top of the case and I might add another EX rad to the roof there

Another option would be to cup the back of the case up and get a 360 rad there.

Yet another option would be to replace the two 180 mm fans at the bottom with radiators running passively, but I can't seem to find 180mm rads. A 200mm rad simply won't fit.

Drive bay wise, from top to bottom:

Blu ray drive
Res 1
res 1
res 2
res 2
HDD
Aquaero

If possible, i'll fit the aquaero in front of the HDD drive, then i'll have 3 drive bays left where i might mount another 120mm rad

Opinions?

I thought hardware faults would be allowed considering they're part of the project :(

Anyway, UPDATES!!!

I hope this makes my log more of a project and less "pure crap":mad::mad:

I'll reply to the posts above once i have windows sorted out

But here's a pics of the 3930K next to a 2500k

EDIT:

MY graphics cards are refusing to be acknowledged by nvidia control, panel. think this may be the problem:

nice pictures, what plans do you have for the tubing layout of the new case?

TBC, i'll talk about it later once i have these retarded gfx cards sorted

is the corrosion down to the bare copper on that block?
was that the loop using pure water that caused that? you didnt use any biocide in the loop or anything did you?

Pure water and biocide and dye. Corrosion is just the black bit, can't see any copper, but wiping it doesn't help

one thing i have noticed, my TJ11 is a real hassle for cable management, looking forward to seeing how you do yours.

I couldn't care less :D
The 07 was an EXTREMELY awkward case to deal with. In mine, literally nothing would work properly. The mobo wouldn't fit properly (all 3 of them) None of the 7 gfx cards i've owned have fitted properly. With the TJ11, setting it up was a breeze! Everything fitted beautifully :D
The cables will be awkward, but i think with some extensions, will be ok.

I have a few ideas but nothing set in stone yet, either way it will be far more of a hassle than a TJ07 due to the motherboard orientation.

are you planning on doing WC through both memory sets?
ofcourse!

personally a WC block on each memory bank with and the loop going

memory>CPU>memory would look sweet.
i'm thinking memory>mobo>memory

also
please don't think I'm being harsh with my cleanups, I am the only moderator of this section so the less work for me the better.

np

Keep up the good work mate :)

Yeah, RJK, I thought that talking about faults with hardware was relevant to the project as it is part of the project.... It seems I misunderstood though, so sorry that I was talking about irrelevant stuff.I don't think you're being harsh, I just yeah, clearly didn't understand. So sorry.

Have you got power to the rig yet. It looks like you could do some tidying up of the loop in due course though :p
this was a quick "i need my BF3 fix now" loop :D

Are you going to mount rad in top or in bottom instead of HDD bays, pretty sure I've seen both done before.

kd

rad mounting is unknown thinking of maybe getting phobya 200mm rad?!

sweet jesus thats a monster chip or does that photo just make it look bigger?

absolutely huge!

although when done right watercooling ram can look nice......but its a lot of expense and hassle to go to for minimal at best gains mate...i had some ocz reaper water cooled when ddr2 was out, it cost a fortune and needed special koolance ram spliters that were from memory £25 each (2 needed to cool the 4 sticks). once there under water you cant just pull them out either it starts making things awkward if you like to keep playing....which you obviously do ;)

personally i just water cool chip and vga now...means i can still play.
just bought the same ram kit as you i think also 16gb dominators @ 1866mhz c9?
i have a airflow 2 fan and i bought the airflow pro also for a big of bling :)

Well £30 for each RAM block isn't too bad. I'm doing it simply for the epic looks! nothing else!

Good to see you going forward Mr Cleeecooo sah will have a good read this evening, caught that about your psu darn shame ... onward and upward :D

I put the PSU in the fridge and it started working again :D:p

Did you ever solve the "desk space" upgrade that you were going to do?

No :(
Still need to do that, but after the aquaero, money for luxuries are tight :(

Finally got round to wiring power button up :D

Also, that pesky fan has been sorted. It was at 5,600RPM
