Project: Temjin-M

Looks good so far - want to see more updates.
They'll be coming in the next two weeks :D
Whats your opinions on the TJ11 as a case overall? Looking to replace the 800D and everything I see about the TJ11 has me interested, apart from the price, which is a massive kick to the balls.

IMO, the best bit of the case is its sheer size. It allows you to have pretty much anything you desire in it.

Without modding, it has plenty of rad space, when modded, you can add pretty much anything you want!

The airflow in it is amazing and the case is beautiful with a nice solid finish!

RE price; It's hugely, hugely overpriced for what it is, so i wouldn't cut down on other components to spend more on the case, but if you have plenty of money for a case, this would be my choice :)

Ok, Time for some real updates. I know it's been a year, so sorry about stretching this out for so long.

Plan for today is to get blocks on everything and hopefully get some tubing in place. It's been a loooong time since I last did anything with computer hardware, so I reckon it'll take a fair bit longer than initially anticipated. I've decided (sadly) that I no longer have time to do what I initially wanted. My two goals now are silence and good looks. Performance isn't as much of a key factor as it once was - I just need it to play all my games! :D

Right, here's the horrid mess to sort out today:

Updates will be coming throughout today

E: Finally found it. Still unopened :( It's my second dual bay spin res :D

Lots of dust!

I found a slight problem with my loop...

7970 Lightnings with blocks on them (after a year :o) :D

I feel somewhat stupid actually watercooling the RAM. Hopefully it'll look as good as I want it to!

Everything mounted up:

Some quick leak testing - I'm not too sure about the FC link as I've never used one before!

On a plus note, those Lightning's should go well water cooled.

Despite not being plexi, they certainly do look the part!

Anyway, updates for today!

The holes were ever so slightly too low, so I drilled a hole above the standard one, then filed down to join them together.

Rad installed:

A standard fan won't fit. I can either: Use a slimmer rad, use a slimmer fan or use no fan. I'm gonna go for the slimmer fan :)

Now to mount the HDD....

Awww yiss!!!! Keep the updates coming big clizzle :D

P.s. I would have done the same with that d5 top :p

As you wish ;)

Holy crap.. you weren't kidding about unconventional.
Looks like that locking nut was well and truly stuck

Yep, nothing I tried would work. That took 4 dremel cutting disks, lots of work with a junior hacksaw and a LOT of brute force :o

Updates!

Someone sent me the wrong fitting, these can't both be 1/2 :/

I did this and called it a night yesterday. I'm not sure what I was trying to do, I think I wanted to do a leak test. My brain does not work well under fatigue :p

My initial plan to mount the pumps:

Here's where I am now:

Over a year in the making. Soon to be unveiled :)

Unfortunately, it'll take a little longer than anticipated due to some minor problems with my main loop :(

I really love that case, How easily is it to hide cables in that case?

The cable management features are non existent. It's like some of the cheapo £25 cases, but the main thing is that there is just so much spa e in the TJ11. Adding cable management features really would ruin the looks of such a beautiful case, so I don't blame Silverstone for not doing anything. There's always somewhere to hide cables!

So a tiny little update, one of my loops is lacking in pump power, so I'm thinking of buying a DC-LT pump and top for £30 and sticking it in after my res. The main issue with the current setup is that it goes Res -> 480 rad -> pump and the pump is above the rad, so I'm certainly not doing it the sensible way, but I wanted to preserve the looks as much as possible. I like where teh pump is.

The only things I don't like are the two tubes stretching from the back of the case all the way to the front, other than that, I LOVE how this is going to look! :D

Unconventional SSD mounting ahoy:

I'm not very good with lighting...

I was desperate to get the main loop finally flowing. Whatever I did I just couldn't get all the air out of the loop, this picture is the right way up:
z3VBs72.jpg

The lightnings look AMAZING! :D
c08s3H9.jpg

As you can see, one of the loops has no flow :(

Ordered a new pump (Alphacool DC-LT) to get some more flow on the main loop and help out the D5. It really is tiny, some pictures next to other things for scale:

Next to a D5:

Now to install it! :)

Lol, thanks ZZZAC.

Unfortunately it seems that my luck with graphics card is now affecting pumps instead, I may well have a faulty D5.

The DC-LT (that's the tiny pump) is actually outperforming the D5 by quite a margin, somehow.

Cut a metal plate out for the pumps:

Lots of dremel disks went flying in all directions for this!

Dye looks epic when it spreads through the water :D

Some dye samples, hard to decide, but I think I'll go pink and green

Neatened the tubing order up a bit, made a huge improvement IMO

I probably would've used a jigsaw for the cutting of the ali there ;)

also I'm gonna say my usual jest of messiness because I'm jealous of your computer apart from the management :p

:D

I didn't have one :(

6 disks for 3mm Aluminum??!! :o
Thats just not right.

I know, I have no idea why they kept breaking :(

I was somewhat impatient after the first few cuts and may have rushed it too much, thereby letting the disks heat/cool too rapidly.

This build man. Like what is happening?

Putting the finishing touches on at the moment. Waiting for my UV LED strip to be fixed (needs some soldering). Then I'm going to decide on some colours to make the loops and it *should* be finished in the next 2 weeks.

At the moment the pumps are running on an external PSU and it looks really messy, hopefully that should all be fixed :)
