Well, as I said, i'll ask Sharps to come in, do me a design and give me a quote. Not sure whether they'll need to rip the current desk out though.
If they do, then i'll get a whole new unit done
Do you guys think it's doable for £100 as IIRC, they offer discounts for previous customers and i spent £4k last time when I moved in
The quality of workmaship is excellent but what I really need to do is come up with a stringent set of criteria for the designer. Any suggestions greatly welcomed!!
Hmmm, I see your point, but the reason I'm not going to do it myself is because the wall between my room and the second bedroom is really thin. I'd do something seriously nooby and drill through it!!
Also, the idea of having someone to blame if it snaps in two, destroying £2k of kit appeals to me
I'll see what they quote first, but if it's too high, I'll ask my friends dad whos a builder
I think height is something I already know. I basically want then to add a plank of wood to my current desk and basically make that plank strong as hell
I think you're right, if they rip the whole thing out and re do then it will probs be around £200. If its just another plank of wood, then I think £100 is achievable.
My main requirements so far:
Cable management
Strength
Long
Simple
For lighting, I think I'll have some discrete blue LEDs off the edges of the three monitors from ikea. Might get a long flexlight instead. Whichever is cheapest TBH
As always, any further ideas will be greatly appreciated
Kaspersky is a bitch to use TBH. Norton is user friendly but earlier was crap. Found this to have received some really good reviews. Remember, i'm useless with software
