Project Three Piece Suite

Its been a gradual spend, the mrs would lynch me if I blew all that at once :p

Every time I settle with my build I find something new that I need, first it was a monitor, then sound, now water. Eyefinity is on the cards for some time 2013, first need bigger room, bigger desk, new motherboard and probably tri/quadfire in some shape or form - the mrs is going to love that one

For now my main focus is getting the damn thing tidy, going to need allot of tape and tie wraps. I hate how Corsair don't make say a modular cable with just a single molex connector on it as an optional extra, I don't need 5 connections cluttering up the place when only one is in use.

Update:

240GB Agility 3 inbound, hopeful it should be here today, gives me reason to get everything tidy and retire my 60GB C300 to SRT duties, finally making use of a Z68 board! :)

Looks Awesome :)

Thanks :D

No SSD today, not a clue what DPD are playing at, dispatched yesterday and tracking only as of about an hour ago shows on the site and says "Awaiting Receipt"

So could be monday now before I get the cables ripped out and re-organised.

Also now trying to get hold of some of the Corsair braided cable sets, figure ditching the extensions will help my keep things tidy. Possibly changing whats white in my case to blue in the process.

800D inbound, trying to figure out the best way to utilise the 1080 rad, open to suggestions, atm the only logical way is to bolt it to the side panel, though it might look a bit pants.

One end of the Reserator is feeding the pump, the other port is return from the radiator, it basically serves as a huge res that also has passive cooling potential :)

I plan to mock up the mods later this week, still have the 9x120mm fan plate from the rad so will use that for mock ups. At the moment the location of the rad isn't a problem, but I plan to get a new desk at somepoint which will remove the current location for the rad, so bolting it on with say a 10-15mm space between the rad and case wouldn't look too out of place.

The case arrived yesterday and just wow, big? this thing is freaking huuge! Put it this way, the box it was in would only fit in the back of an 09 plate Astra with a bit of pushing and card bending.

If the rad idea does look totally pants I may just cut my losses and head for internal cooling, though there arn't many cases out there have the potential to match a 1080 rad with a reserator ;)

Waiting to hear from EK now before I decide on what tubing/coolant I'll be using, which is the final thing to be decided on, the GPU's will now be going into parallel flow for ease of tube routing, will also be adding two Phobya in-line temp sensors, look exactly the same as the XSPC sensors but come with in-line water temp sensors, blue LED for in, red LED for out. Input sensor will be on the pump inlet, output sensor will be on the bottom GPU.

Toyed with the idea of an Aquaero 4 USB but to my surprise it will only take 10w per channel compared to my FC5's 40w. As I will have fan clusters linked to a single channel I didn't want to chance the Aquaero taking on too much.
