Suspension components are kind of both. Common rule is that a 2 kg lighter damper is 1kg of unsprung mass.
Two brake calipers that are 5kg lighter each is hardly going to make the car accelerate like it has lost 80kg.
Sorry I should have been clearer - not in terms of overall mass... (for acceleration et cetera) But in 'reactive' mass. It should react and handle like it weighed 80Kg less.
