It all started last night...

Basically, the long shot of it is that I've started getting random buzzes, crackling, popping etc through the speakers. The clip and signal LEDs are flashing randomly when it happens too.

Running 10.5.6 which M-Audio say isn't supported yet, but I've been running this since it was released back in early December.

Just got off the phone to M-Audio tech support and they weren't overly helpful, but the guy said to turn off Firewire networking. Not sure if this will help but I've done that, as well as turning off Bluetooth and Airport. Another suggestion on the M-Audio website was to go into Disc Utility and run Verify Disc Permissions which may have helped, but I've had to do it 3 times now.

Any other suggestions that could be the cause?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I’m asking as I have one of these units at home that I’ve never had a problem with but would like to hear if you managed to resolve the issue. Sorry I’ve got nothing to give on the subject. I did automatically think conflict but as I said other than that I’ve got nothing. Also adding a friendly bump if its not.

Cheers for the reply, I recently did a fresh install of Leopard which took me back to 10.5.4 but haven't had chance to install PM software and won't be able to until Wednesday. I'll post back to let you know how it goes!

Update -

Just taken the thing apart as it's out of warranty, and would you believe it - there was a lose cable :)
