Hi,

I have a spare room in my loft space that has a wall about 3m wide (before the ceiling curves down with the roof line) and want to put a projector in there.

I could stretch to a Sony VW40ES at the very top end, or have also seen the Epson TW6600 which looks good for the money. Recently I have been wondering whether to go in lower and ensure it gets used first though. I have seen the BenQ 1070+ which seems to review very well for the price, if I use it a lot I can probably sell it on for a £200 or so hit and upgrade. Is it the best model for the price or am I really going to regret going low end? I have a Sony 55" W905 in the lounge and have been 'spoilt' by motionflow and decent blacks but will the BenQ look bad?

Also any recommendations for screens, think I am looking at 100" or so at 16:9? I will be sat about 15ft away but I think that's the biggest the wall will take.

Any other general advice appreciated!

Nice! Reading around I think you have to spend about 2k to get significantly better. Think I'll go for the Benq. The + model doesn't seem much more so will try that out.

Any issues with it on panning with judder etc. ? I hear it doesn't have any frame interpolation...

Any advice RE screen? I would prefer fixed, don't want to spend a fortune but aware of the importance of getting it right!

I've also been reading up and the silver ticket seem popular. Where did you get yours from clipsey?

I have decided that if I get the BenQ I'll have some cash around for some decent front end speakers (second hand 1k buys a lot!) so it's happening.

Gonna get the + model. Seems slightly better from reviews and price difference not much.
