Projector help

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about buying a projector for a spare room in my girlfriends house but im lost!

It's a not a huge room but it has a decent white wall for a projector, we'd probably sitting around 6-8ft from that said wall.

I already have a Yamaha av receiver so I was thinking one with hdmi would be ideal so I could just link my pc / Xbox to the receiver and have just one hdmi out to the projector for ease.

Maximum budget is probably £300 and would ideally like 720p at least native resolution.

Any help is appreciated!

For that budget I'd be looking at getting a secondhand optoma hd 200x or 20x. Both the sake, ones black and ones white (there are a few differences but nothing noticable)
I have the 200x and its been great, done over 1800 hrs already
It's also full 1080p

Get yourself onto avforums mate you will find a used one on their classifieds

I've got an infocus IN76 720p. It cost considerably more than your budget NEW, but I've seen them going on "the bay" for about your budget.

Comparing it to the ones we use at work, I couldn't recommend it more!

Is there anything to look out for when buying a second hand one?

Lamp hours, the lower the better. Bulbs are good for around 4000 hours but can be costly to replace. The optoma one for mine s about £100 and that's a cheap one

Second avforums as the place to get one from, that's where mine came from last year. Some good bargains
