Hello,

Little lost with this 'universal' mount i have purchased. How on earth do i mount it to this HD65 projector?

Images are included below, i am baffled?

From what I've heard to use those mounts on the older Optoma projectors you have to reverse the bit on the end of one of the legs (the shorter ones maybe?) to make it fit.

EDIT: I think the Optomas can only mount to 3 of the legs as well on those - the 4th hole is like on cameras, etc. for mounts that have that as the central point.

I am a total newb but maybe you can

Are you able to maybe make a simple 'image' showing what arm to take off etc and i will do it and see what it looks like?

Yes, one arm should go as i see the middle is a tripod type mount so 4 are not required.

thanks buddy

Looks like the projector has 3 mounting holes.
Just remove one of the legs from the mount and position the other 3 to fit.
I had to do this with my mount on my benq, also had to use a few washers to get clearance etc but most mounts are universal these days and with playing around it sound fit.

Not sure it is as simple as that - again no experience with this particular mount myself - but I know people who've used them on older Optomas and they've talked about having to reverse one of the bits on the ends of the legs to make everything line up, etc. though from the image I'm not sure how possible that is.

I used a Optoma ceiling mount, removed the leg extender and packed out the resulting gap between on of the arms and the projector fixing points with a washer, i only used three legs.

Easy to do, worried if you find this bit of the project a struggle how are you going to fix it to the ceiling??
