Prolimatech first ever VGA cooler is here, in the name of the MK-13. After claiming the top spot for CPU cooling with the Megahalem, Prolimatech have their eyes set on the throne of VGA cooling.
In the lab tests, equipped with two 120mm fans, the MK-13 proved to be better than today's leading VGA coolers. Best of all is the compatibility list will never become outdated with the Omni-Mount Retention System. The mounting system works by having interchangable parts. As new VGA cards are released Prolimatech will design and release new fittings. There will be no need to buy a new VGA cocoler ever again once you have purchased the MK-13

This is like over a year old, almost two maybe, theres plenty of reviews. Its up their with the shaman thermalright, if I'm remembering the name, but has a better fan mounting method in that, its not on the heatsink so the weight isn't added to the card so less warping of cards and silly weight on the gpu.

It did fantastically well on my 5850 at 1050Mhz with 1.3v, kept it sub 50C load, and silent in games. It seems to be coping less well with my 6950 unlocked and overclocked. It seems as soon as I go over 1.15v or so the temps shoot up, still not high and quite a lot lower(and much quieter than the stock cooler. I've also switched fans though and think they don't work as well.

You're best off with 2x92mm fans due to the shape of the sink, I had 2 but they weren't quiet ones, I got two quiet 120mm fans but should have bought 2 quieter 92mm fans(mine were very quiet but only at 5v and very little airflow, cheap £2 ones, they buzzed at higher voltages aswell). Problem is the dead zone on a 120mm fan is bigger and due to being wider than the sink basically a lot of airflow is wasted.

So 2 decent 92mm fans for best performance.

It looks like a pc slot killer, forget crossfire / sli / or anything really takes up almost every single slot on your pc LMFAO.

Thanks for the post, thats really helpful as I'm considering one to replace the stock cooler on my unlocked 6950 since that gets rather toasty, plus with the option to overclock as well if I can cool it well.

How many slots does it take up? One for the card, one for the heatsink, and is the fan bracket one or two slots tall, I couldn't tell from the picture of it. And the fan tim is very helpful, noise wouldn't be so much of an issue for me as my case is basically made of fans, but I wouldn't want them to be wasted either. Cheers :)

2 slots for the cooler and 2 for a fan mounted next to the card. It's possible to fit the fans horizontally though but I'm not sure how effective they are in a dual card configuration with the airflow in the wrong direction, as it were.

Wonder when Alpenfoehn Peter is coming out, it's a similar design but with a higher thermal deisgn.
