I went to my fifth year ball but after that I couldn't be bothered with repeating it all over again in sixth year.

Anyway, OT, I went to my year 11 ball in a suit / cowboy style hat + big big fat cigar for show, can't find pics unfortunately, but the rest of the night was quite a blurr after that :o

Funny thing is when they graduate they often march out to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance March No1 (commonly known as Land of Hope and Glory)

I went to a 4th July celebration nearly a decade ago.

The Bud was a quid a bottle.

Nothing wrong with dressing up and having a laugh though, and perhaps getting a little tipsy to celebrate end of GCSE / A-Level / Graduation etc.

Not everything from the US is a bad. Yeah maybe proms are an american thing but who cares where it comes from? A good idea is a good idea.
 
We had a succession of summer balls at my uni.

On this particular one we were on the disco wall or whatever it was and my friend was so drunk he boshed me with his camera.

Someone who was watching took a pic with my camera and lo and below the said bosh moment was captured on film!

It was before the days of the digital but I have still got it... so funny! :D

Ok people this was what my hair was like, it took 40 minutes to put up because my hair is so thick :p over 100 clips in that baby :p
