Something like that, actually I'm on a drive to try and drop my home power usage down from over 3.4KW

lol only 5 years:o :p

so what parts are you using for this build then or is it a surprise? all I know is its intel based. same or better than your current chips or maybe even slightly under your current chips?? either way :eek:

Same as Event Horizon, exactly the same actually.

Will be running it nekked on air as well.

The CPU's arrived this morning, so I have everything ready to crack on. Now I just have to be strong and once its up and running turn off the Titans

I think I've finally got my electric usage under control......

Bit then again I've got two GTX780's sidelined at the mo.....

Without them my electric is currently running around £300 pcm.

F@H ppd has dropped to just over 2 million but the Titans have made an entry into Milkyway and some well overdue Gaming (as I've just upgraded to three 27" moitors for some multiscreen gaming goodness)

:D

Me too mate, actually, I'm rationalising my Bitcoin addiction as well  so that should balance it out. The wifes started to notice the £300+ pcm Direct Debit increases from the leccy company. I hope to get down to around £200 pcm for folding and supplement that with my BTC income.

Still waiting for the coolers oz. Gone for noctuas this time.

loudbob how do the Titans do in milkyway?

LOL its the same spec as EventHorizon the only difference is Noctua HSF instead of Supermicro.

Still waiting for the heatsinks. Ordered them on the 30th.. they were supposedly in stock, rang them a couple of days later noticed they had changed my delivery to 5-8 working days, got that fixed to overnight for free, then rang again yesterday because they still haven't arrived "oh there is problems delivering them from our German warehouse" grr...

Oh and I've also been selling all my AMD gpus in the MM for some strange reason... :o

You go for the same memory I used?

I had to buy from three separate suppliers to get enough sticks.

Oh and Tony good to have you back in the saddle mate. We missed you

Update: Just cancelled my order for the coolers what a waeste of time that was. Ordered from somewhere quiet next day delivery, should be here tomorrow.

I've actually used them before successfully, they have some right bargains, I'd probably use them again too. Its the same with pretty much all etailers really, I don't think anyone escapes a bad experience with at least one of the major players. The problem is that nowdays many of them don't actually stock anything themselves, they get it drop shipped from other suppliers. Nothing wrong with it from a business perspective, just that if complications do arise then it can get a bit messy with all the third parties involved.

Thankee chaps, but its not to last. Leccy is currently burning at £270 per month at this rate and I went and told them today that I've got no option but to sell you all for scientific experiments.

I've been here before, but really I mean I can't run 3 big iron rigs plus a quad titan.

Its just an excercise over the next day or so to see how far I can push the envelope

Then I'm putting the quad titan up in the members market and will retire the Opteron rig. That should still net me close to 2mil per day for the science I care about most, and I'll get a couple of little air cooled cards to tide me over and help out with Boinc.

It would be cool if they could stay in one piece and with the team but previous experience shows that there are only so many nutters around :D So I'll reluctantly split them up or like I did with my last Opteron rig sell it to someone from another team.:(

Best I could capture a screenshot of. Turning the Titans off for now, gonna try some Boinc on them see what they do.
