Promotion within work

At least if you talk face to face you can find out the facts for yourself and inform them of your intentions (that of wanting to progress).

It depends on your manager, There can be serious repercussions. Like the manager holding you back and not giving you any training as he thinks you'll jump ship.


But after being in a company for a year you should know what your managers like.
