I've already posted about this in HG&P, but it's officially been announced now and I'm all shiney and sparkley and whatnot and I wanted a self-congratulatory thread, so here it is!
It's just been announced that I've been promoted to head up the web projects department as a senior developer/team leader type person. This will put me in charge of application design and development of our community portal, extranet, intranet, website and any other little thing that's deemed web-worthy! This is a totally awesome step forward for me in my career, and I certainly didn't expect to be put in a senior position with only 2 years professional experience. However, I've "made such an impression on management and senior management" that this decision has been made.
I also got a £500 bonus for success on our recent project and my 6 month review (after nearly 9 months!) is next week, so fingers crossed there, too.
I'm totally chuffed, and wanted to share
