'Proper' double DRS zones for Monza

That there is a double detection zone is brilliant on the basis that they were going to have two activation zones regardless. At least this way you stand a chance to catching up if the guy passes you in the first zone.

What I think we might see though is people still not making the pass in the first zone and just using it to tuck right in behind without having to use kers. Then on the second activation use kers and DRS to sail pass and be free form attack for another lap.

Hopefully whatever happens, the zone will be the right length to allow cars to get alongside just before the braking zone rather than 400 yards from it.

The Ascari Chicane never has been a real overtaking point though. So the DRS zone up to that will definitely be a 'get closer' zone rather than one that generates overtaking.
