Anyone know about this or tested it out? I've only just discovered it exists today so not had chance to test yet.

This is potentially huge - if we can have proper DLSS quality frame gen in VR it could be a game changer.

Had a quick play, couldn't see much difference to be honest, other than worse performance on my system with the settings I have.

Had a play with @glenimp617 version desktop XR with Microsoft flight simulator 24 and it's very very good.

Think it might be a beta build though so not yet public

Virtual Desktop

ok
if you said Steam Link id understand

although i do not do flight sim, i run Automobilista 2

Virtual desktop encodes at the base, where as Steam Link has been set up to run "efficiently" rather than pure Graphics like Virtual desktop can do

I am guessing, but you've tried setting Virtual desktop up for graphics and not performance ?

SSW OFF
GODLIKE

as for Codec, tried AV1 10bit and H264+ running the full bit rate?

No, I left all my settings alone, I'll have a play tomorrow and see if anything improves it, already using AV1 10bit at max bitrate.

What are you using as your baseline "acceptable" FPS when tweaking. Are you happy at 90, or pushing for 120 min? (Assuming that matches the Hz output on your headset?)

Hmmm... okay, tried again, yes happy at 90 and headset is set to that, I have it a notch below godlike and turned SSW off, not sure what I should be doing with in sim settings as I usually run with DLSS on and it works pretty darn well for me, turning it off leaves me with some nasty aliasing, should I use one of the other options or is there something I'm missing with OFXR? Leaving DLSS on (Balanced, maybe I need to change that to DLAA as they're likely fighting each other?) with OFXR it is very glitchy and nowhere near as smooth as with it off.
