Hi there,

I have a couple of websites, one of which is currently my business. I am by no means a webmaster in any shape or form.

I noticed OcUK had been under DDos attacks recently (or was it a while ago)

Anyway, I remember reading the article on here about it... So being naturally geeky I wanted to know what it was and googled it. I came across a few tutorials on it and it seems to be really easy to do.

I am now a little concerned that my sites may come under attack in the future and was wondering if there was anyway to prevent this? Is there something I can install in my root directory of the website or perhaps change some port?

Or will I just need to deal with it, if it ever does happen?

Thanks muchly :D

youre probably better off posting this in the network section, as i remember reading that certain networking gear can be configured to block or ignore ddos attacks!

Why would you be targeted? If it's just the general threat then I wouldn't worry.

If you do come under fire for some reason then it's your hosting provider that will help you out.
