Protected NCD?

Why do they stop counting at 5 yrs, or at least most do, some claim to go higher.

Isnt it a bit unfair penalising those who have more than 5 yrs, by saying that actually th 7,8,9+ yrs you have are actually only 5 if there is an accident?

Yes it's very unfair.

I know you work in the industry (or at least did last time I knew), but I'm not sure you can't quote these figures as acurate, apart from for one case. I write insurance software for brokers, and the last time I looked at the step back rules, they were not one rule for all insurers / schemes. We quote over 400 different schemes, and I don't intend to list the rules here... I do enough of that at work.
