in my book, Green Day singing about politics equates to Chas 'n' Dave running for Governors of Alberquerque - funny, but only because it's so bloody ridiculous.

Billy Bragg has done a few good 'uns

Bob Dylan has to have written the most. 'With god on our side' standing out - (somebody already mentioned)

Possibly but a lot of their early stuff (particularly GT and GATS) are either ridiculously nieve or poltically confused and as for the Holy Bible...there's a pro death penalty song in that so...
