Prototype Biohazard Bundle brings the complete Prototype experience to the newest generation of hardware.

Ever since the launch of the latest generation of consoles, fans have been asking us if we would be bringing Prototype to the PS4 and Xbox One. Well, I’m happy to deliver the answer: yes, and it happens today. Available as a digital download via the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Game Store, the Prototype Biohazard Bundle includes Prototype and Prototype 2, which have both been updated to feature Full HD rendering, improved framerate, and higher resolution textures and effects. What’s more, the bundle includes all of the DLC that came with the original RADNET Edition of Prototype 2, as well as a majority of the in-game content previously offered through retailer pre-orders.

I read prototype had a resolution bump to 1080p and managed to maintain 30fps, but with a distinct lack of improvement in shadows, textures and draw distance.

2 at 1080p apparently performs worse on Xbox ONE than the 360. Sounds like a very shoddy cheap cash in to me. :/

I saw that article as well. It said the PS3 version of both games performs better than the Xbox One versions

tbh I really liked these games on the PS3. But I will not be buying them again ! lol

Game publisher [goes to game dev]: We need a new game for PS4 and XO asap
Game Dev: mmm what can we do.... oh we have these games that were popular on the PS3 and 360 let’s just slap the sliders up a bit and put it on the PS4 and XO. Min effort = Max profit.
Game publisher: you have a deal !

It seems ideas are running dry at the moment. I don't mind some "remasters" as long as it is like properly done not just upping the graphics a bit. "Remasters" from the ps3 + 360 should also be excluded there is no reason why they need a "remaster" other than to slap the £40 (or whatever a new game costs on PS4 + XO) price tag on it again. Graphics realistically won’t have improved that much from the last gen and its not like they are adding any additional content to these games.

Rather annoying because if the PS4 and XO had "true backward compatibility" no one would ever buy these "remasters"

I don't mind some remasters i.e. MCC, Uncharted but it's getting too much atm.. if they did them and put a £15 price tag it wouldn't be so bad but at full price...

We knew this would happen with the proliferation of remasters. What they've failed to see here is that Prototype isn't a classic. I think even GoW is pushing it and that's a much bigger IP than Prototype.

Halo, Uncharted, TLOU, GTA, they are games that deserve to be played by every generation of gamer.

I have a funny feeling this is why dev's are churning out remaster after remaster whilst there is still money to be made from them seeing as, like you've said, backwards compatibility will kill them off.
