Im really tempted to try prototype. It looks pretty good and seems like my type of game... but which platform to get it on? Id normally say "GO PC :D" seeing as i have a high end pc why not use it? Plus i dont get though v sync issues and low fps as you normally see on a ps3. Yet seeing the rise of the bad pc ports over the last few years im a little worried. has any one played both?? Which is the better platform to go for. Their both the same price at my local game shop so price isnt an issue.

It's awesome on the PC but it does have a couple of annoying lazy-port type issues. E.g. resolution and sound weirdness.

I also played through it on the PC with an xbox360 pad... To be honest, it's a game that doesn't really benefit from the PC platform enough to not just get it on ps3 if you play games on that anyhow.

edit: Looking at the posts below it sounds like you're far better off with the pc version.

I seem to recall that the version I tried didn't support mouse and keyboard, or if it did it was borked like Dead Space was. You couldn't use a generic game controller and it had to be a xbox pad. I tried using Xpadder to use my mouse but it was awful. Consequently I didn't give it time and came out if the experience underwhelmed at such a lazy conversion.

It's not bad on the PC - the graphics aren't brilliant but then there is a hell of a lot going on and some of the battles are absolutely immense.

It's probably cheaper on the PC as well.

Oh I'd also recommend an Xbox 360 Pad as well. :)

I've played it on PC with keyboard, gets pretty tricky towards the end (for me it did anyway). Not sure if it would be better with pad.

I've played it on the PC and 360 and there is not much in it, I'd go for the 360 as it looks better on a bigger screen...(and you need a 360 pad either way)

You'll enjoy it, its great fun

Prototype is brilliant on pc, weird thing though you HAVE to turn vsync on or the mouse look is dodgy. I hate vsync but had to turn it on for this game. Works brilliant with mouse and keyboard. Go pc! :D

Stupid poor sloppy conversion errors just like Dead Space then. With Vsync off I had to move the mouse a couple of feet just to turn around 180 degrees. Painful. Noted for future sloppy poor conversions.
