Proven at last .....

I think ElRazur was justified in his comment, could you imagine the trouble caused if a scientist tried to publish a claim that one of Mohammed's many achievements was not all it seemed, effectively disproving it. After the recent cartoon stuff I think ElRazur was just trying to compare the reactions from different religions and their communities. Not a case of attacking anyone or any religion, just making an observation. Why bring it into the thread... well its all current affairs.

Im a catholic

but i believe god is just from an advanced alien race... you know the story,

I'd like to believe it was something more cool than ice, excuse the pun.

IE. Holographic trickery or some other advanced star trek thing.

Let me translate from Science Speak...

"Jesus may have walked on water..." which in Plain Speak means "We weren't there and records are sketchy. The important thing is that we don't want it to be true, but we cant prove it. So we're going to offer a possible explaination - one that sounds very ordinary in comparison. Jesus may have walked on ice*."

* This would either require a frozen sea, which observers were too dumb to notice or a floating slab of ice, the use of which Jesus would have had to have been extremely skilled in and also moonwalking on in order to appear as if he were walking on water

The thread topic is about weather Jesus walked on water or was it really ice. The discussion hasn't got off the ground and he changes the topic in his own thread.

I was thinking the same thing. If the sea was frozen others would have seen it and possibly followed him.

What was Jesus doing on the water anyway?

I wasn't expecting a serious discussion but did you just start this thread to yet again take the **** out of other people beliefs. I'm not religious but atleast I'm able to respect what other people want to believe.

Are you just all up in my face 'cause i pointed out where you went wrong?

I am not a believer and i am not taking any ****, Jesus monwalking like someone sugested was an image in my head....

you know what. i aint saying nothing to you anymore.

^^ :)

Seriously though, what was the miracle all about? Guess I'll have to google it later when I have time.

edit :

One night he even walked on water to meet his disciples who were in a boat on the Lake.

I guess he missed the boat :)

If the lake was frozen over then there would have been no boat out there so I guess that disproves the ice theory.

None of mohammeds actions were supernatural though....his actions, as a man, have been discussed amongst historians for a long time, and yes, they have been called into question...

I've not read the rest of the thread, but the fact that you see this as proof negates any argument you have IMO.
