How long is it valid for?
I thought they were only Valid for 2? or am I thinking of foreign licences?
Foreign licences are valid for 1 year IIRC
10 years, at which point you can apply for a new one, but for the love of god don't.
If you can't pass in 10 years it's time to give up.

Unless you just aquire one for the use of ID, and never intend on learning to drive.

I agree. But only because some places don't accept provisional licenses. If it wasn't for that it would be money well spent.Waste of >£30.

Clearly their bouncers don't do competency tests.
* Paper - must be a full UK licence. A duplicate licence is acceptable but a provisional licence is not.
* Photocard – a duplicate licence is acceptable. A provisional licence is only acceptable for individuals aged under 18.
I noticed today that HSBC won't accept provisional driving licences as ID if you're over 18 - not sure why this is?!
