Is playstation plus anygood? Do you get free games? Are the games that you get for free any good? I had a look on the playstation store and the ps plus discount only took off £1.00 from the price of a game. What else do you get?

Yes, it's ridiculously good value, I didn't realise how good until I got it myself a couple months ago. In that time I've had AC3, FC3, NFS Most Wanted, Uncharted 3, Saints Row 3, XCOM and a few more all as part of my subscription and mine to play as long as I am subscribed for. Can't even imagine the collections of people who've had PS+ since launch.

Yes it is good - its brilliant

The games are free aslong as you have the subscription.

Yes the games are good - you will have some months when a game is a genre you dont like etc but dont let that put you off as they cover all. s on month it might be a game you dont like the next it will be one you do.

The discounts vary - sometimes it is only 10% sometimes some games and dlc have upto 50% of (i think some in the past have had upto 75% off.

You also get the online cloud storage for game saves 1gb for ps3 and 1gb for vita. along with the auto downloads for game updates etc.
 
Of course, once bought and/or downloaded they stay in your list as long you stay subscribed, even if you stop, they don't disapear....they remain in your basket.
 
best purchase i ever made.... insanely good value

i bought it last year..... i havnt really bought a game in a while apart from heavy hitters like the last of us.... theres no point as free games every month!

its not like the bargain bin games either..... battlefield 3, mortal kombat, mafia II, farcry 3, sleeping dogs are just a few of the recent ones


the discounts on games arnt brilliant.... but its the instant game collection you want it for

Might not be a rip off by itself, but in comparison to PS+ you're really getting nowhere near as much. Hopefully that changes next gen and Microsoft try and go all out for their userbase.
 
I think it's great, The instant game selections are pretty good and allow me to try things I'd never have done before.

As of next gen, it's a good incentive over Microsoft as you get the free games on top of the mandatory need for multiplayer
 
Be interesting to see how it works out at the start for the PS4. There are a couple of interesting F2P games announced but obviously the back catalogue won't be the same as now. Hope Resogun plays as good as it looks. Will these games be partial like Drive Club or will we get full new games too? Micro transactions galore?

The two services just arent comparable though.
