Ps plus any good?

So if I sign up to playstation plus I get 16 free games. 8 for ps3 8 for vita which is nice if I do buy a vita as the games should keep me going for a while. But once I have bought ps plus will there ever be a collection package like that again or is that just there for new members to make you want to sign up. Also if you get 2 free games a month on ps plus is that 1 ps3 game 1 vita or is it random what console it's for?
