PS2 Component AV?

From what I remember the ps2s accept 110~240v so it should be fine. The ps2s own psu should step down the voltage to what it needs.

When I had a Jap PS2 I had to have a converter. This was one of the originals though, so the newer PS2's may not need one.

Some games have Pro scan hidden.

Hold Triangle and X as the game boots. Also remember to select the correct mode in the PS2 control panel.

Really?... I'll have to try this on every game that I really wished had it :D

Nope, just the component.

i've got a component lead on order should be here next week.
playing driver parallel lines, noticed it supports progreesive scan, be interesting to see how it improves things.

Please be warned that buying a cheapo comp lead will look worse than scart on decent screens. Ive seen ghosting and blurring purely from naff cables.

If you cant find the official leads or a decent brand - i wouldnt bother tbh.

A cheap component lead is barely different from an expensive one, many people have used monster cables only to find no difference. A cheap component is better than a cheap scart anyday, brand named cables and other accessories are just 10x more expensive and dont give an improvement.

My component lead came today, tried it out on a couple of games and its definitely a big improvement. Everythings just a lot clearer, reminds me of changing to a better resolution on a pc.

Mine was barely a fiver, well happy with it :D

hi all, any ideas how to enable progessive on Resi4 and on Tekken5? i tried the hold down Triangle and Square but wasnt sure when to to it, and it never gave me an option of progressive? i just played Pal60...

any clues?

thank

In tekken 4 it just asks you if you want 50/60hz or prog scan when the game starts. Only the ntsc version of tekken 5 support prog scan btw.

noooooooooooooooooo!

well i have tekken4 but dont play it anymore since i got tek5.. tek5 is pretty awesome!

also, got it working on RE4.. held down TRIANGLE and X whilst seecting language - asks do u want prog scan mode etc...- actually looks worse than NTSC 60 lol
