Ps2 games on ps3?

WHY? Because when I bought the PS3 there was no backwards compatibility that's flaming well why?

So I get punished for buying their product.

It's not like I got the 40 GB on sale I paid top dollar for it. I would have bought the 60GB but there were none on sale.

Nobody forced you to buy a 40GB PS3.

Sony told everybody that the 40GB PS3's wouldn't have backwards compatibility.

You could have sourced a 60GB version if you really wanted one, or were that bothered about backwards compatibility of PS2 games.

Mind you i find it hard to belive that the ps3 can not emulate ps2 games when it can use ps1

It could be possible via a firmware update but that's a big possibility, I don't really see the fuss though, this year the PS3 is getting lots of good games. Many went back to PS2 games last year because of the severe lack of games around launch time I don't think that's an issue this year though.

You could have easily got a 60GB, they are not too hard to find, albeit they would not be brand new. Anyways, you got £120 off when you bought the 40GB, thats more than enough to buy a seperate PS2 + games
