fyi, just tried GT4 on my new 26" LCD.... it looks terrible, i mean terrible...

the lack of progressive mode on the UK edition sucks completely, imo amost unplayable on LCD...

Tekken 5 on the other hand... OMG!!!! it looks sensatiuonal in pal60!!

doesnt the UK version come with 1080 mode?? that bites

If they implement PAL 60 / progressive along with a decent price drop I would very easily be tempted with GT4, I agreee with above it to me was a lot better than PGR3

Laughin - something just struck me , everyone on here knows about when something from the US comes over here , its usually a direct transaltion from $ >>>£ , ie x for $200 will cost us £200

Whats the betting if this price drop is true Sony actually price drop WITH exchange rate, Ie we get a £12 drop instead of full £20

Double standards or what hahahaha

Was in town yesterday and had a cracker of an impulse buy

1. US spec Playstation2
2. Tekken5
3. Component Lead and VGA adaptor
4. 110v Stepdown adaptor

Also ordered GT4 and Metal Gear3 from an importer, finally ill get to see what GT4 looks in 1080i and im knowing its gunna be sweet :cool:

Even with the image scaled to fit my screen tekken5 still looks very good and im enjoying it a lot. (need to run thru the component lead for progressive mode)

I really like racers and got GT4 about a fortnight ago, have to say its completely fantastic, it just looks so Real, more lifelike as opposed to 'cartoony'. I have HD1080 mode activated (there's a choice of this and progressive scan on the US version), it really sharpens up the graphics, the cars just look absolutely stunning. I've always played racers in full screen view, but with this i have to play it with the car on the screen, it looks that good. And smooth frame rate too, don't know what its running at but its silky smooth whatever FPS it is.
The actual game has more depth and variation than other racer mentioned here, i just wish i'd got into it a year ago, might be further in than 3% lo0l.
It's shot to the top of racers for me, amazing stuff

Yes GT3 and GT4 both have outstanding graphics IMO, very realistic looking.
