Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but the console games and hardware forum seems to be closed to new threads??

Anyway, I want to get online with my PS2 (one of the older ones that needs the network adapter plugging into the back of the console) but they seem to be somewhat hard to come by!!
Anyway, I've seen a USB ethernet adapter for about £15 and wondered if this would work with my machine??

It seems cheaper and easier than getting the old bulky adapter that slots into the back of the PS2!?!?

Anyone have any experience of these??

Cheers, StevieP

while I have no experience of the usb to ethernet adaptor I cant see many if any games working with it. came out around the same time as the linux for ps2 i think.

I do have the actual ethernet adaptor though and i think you should seek that out and use it to bung a HD in your ps2. Install your games to hd with HD Advance and enjoy much faster loading speeds. (However the installed games wont be able to use the ethernet, youll have to boot from original disk for them).

Thanks for the advice....

Doubt I'll go for the hard drive with the PS3 coming out next year!! To be hinest I only play PES6 on it anyway!!! :D

Just need to find a reasonably priced network adapter I guess.....

:(
