dscaler mate. It's been mentioned a few times, I don't know why your ignoring it as it's exactly what your looking for. Use the 6.5 wdm drivers though, any newer and it will be stuck at a low res. You can still use the latest display driver, you just need wdm 6.5. :)
I tried dscaler with my Xbox and it worked but horribly. :p Used all the right PAL settings and filters too.
 
i've Used descler and it's terrible the res is bad and it juddders like crazy. From what iv'e read here and else where its the same for everyone regardless of the right filters/settings. Therefore I shall continue to ignore it. thnks

That's what happened to me. It juddered around and even though the window was set to Xbox resolution, it was stretchy and blurred. I followed a number of guides to setting up the proper filters but it didn't help. :(

I think a TV card is the best option, I simply don't think AVIVO can cope.
 
nero vision works with the ati card, but the rage theatre used on ati vivo cards is just awful to look at now compared to whats available on more recent tv cards an even atis own tv550
