Which has given you more pleasure.

Obivoulsy PS3 has 1080p HD, better online, better interface etc..etc..

But for the time which has given you more fun and better games.

IMO the new IP have given much more fun on PS3 whereas sequels carried over from PS2 to PS3 have ended up worse.

eg...PES, MGS, FF, RE, GTA

Whereas games like

Uncharted
Infamous
Assasin Creed
Dead Space

Have prob surpassed many PS2 games.

ps2 hands down, ps3 has lacked killer titles tbh.

gta 3 > gta 4

socom 1 > all other socoms

graphics have got better but at that point in time ps2 was more than capable for that generation.

the only game i can safely say has been amazing on ps3 has been the COD series.

tbh ps1 was better than both ps2 and ps3

driver > all other drivers and is what most likely led GTA to go 3D
gran turismo 1 and 2 > all the others

so many epic games, the list probably ranks in the hundreds.

but in this moment in time, i could never play a ps2 game never mind a ps1 game, graphics have came too far.

Probably PS2, but there's not much in it.

All it would take for the PS3 to get ahead would be a GTA Vice City.

will take a lot more than that i'm afraid

gran turismo 5 being delayed by what 3 years, then add in the whole hacking fiasco and the network being shut down for ages, then add in home being a completely useless feature yet was hyped up to be the next big revolution, etc, etc. also plenty of other games have had huge delays too. no cross game chat, etc and poor implementation of an online system (nobody has headsets).

the ps3 has been rubbish overall, its only saving grace is that it is a blu ray player (even though blu ray's are insanely expensive) and blu ray won the HD battle.

I think the PS2 had a larger catalogue of excellent games, however the PS3 has had a couple of games that have excelled beyond the best the PS2 had to offer in certain genres, specifically shooters. The Uncharted series for example is of a higher standard than any shooter on the PS2 offered.

Ultimately though the PS2 had an excellent Final Fantasy game, two Metal Gear Solid games, two Zone of the Enders games, two amazing Team Ico games, two God of War games and two good Devil May Cry games. These are things that the PS3 lacks and so, for me, PS2 wins it. I don't regret buying a PS3 one bit though.

The PS2 had Silent Hill 2!! :O

Among so many others it convinces me PS2 is supperior really (graphics aren't everything!)

I (still) have tons of PS2 games, I think I have about 10 PS3 games -_-
None of them make me want to play them - For the most part they substitute gameplay for graphics.

I'm hoping the relaunch of Tomb Raider changes it though :D

ps2 seen as it never let me down.

ive had too change my ps3 once so far due to hardware failure , i think older consoles where a lot more reliable due to the fact they were more based on gaming and nothing else.

PS2 by far, I bought the PS3 really early on because of how much I loved the PS2 and apart from a few titles I never really play on the PS3, I never have, it was a massive disappointment, I'm glad it has blu-ray though

I cant understand this, really.

I was raised with the PS2 so I would never totally knock it, but it has to be the PS3 for me. Graphics, online play and the store has brought out a wealth of DLC, mini games and demos (which as good as the PS2 was couldn't even fathom).

Don't get me wrong I had some cracking times on the PS2 (still think they should remake Predator concrete Jungle, ya cant beat the Predator in third person :D) but I have had better times with my PS3.
Yea sure it took a while for Sony to get good games out there but the caliber of games out now and coming out are getting increasingly larger, my pre-order list has never been higher.

So for me, no real contest PS3.
