PS3 AVI

I was under the impression that PS3 supported divx playback? Every AVI I have tried doesn't even show up as selectable from my usb stick. It's fully updated to version 2.52 as well. These same AVIs play fine on my Divx dvd player. Any ideas?

have you made a submenu on the stick called video?

The other way to do it is to choose the device that holds the file then hit triangle, then do show all.

The PS3 should always show the file but if the format is unsupported the name of the file will simply be "Unsupported file".
