ps3 better than pc BS

Hasnt this thread been closed yet? I hardly wanted to waste my time writing this, but you only become a fanboy when you cant afford to have a PC 360 and PS3, if you can then just enjoy, each platform has it own sweetspots.

Sorry but the Wii wins hands down.

:p.

Seriously tho, I think both my PC and PS3 are quality. PC mostly for FPS, MMORPG and RPGs, playstation for everything else. I do like the easy approach to just turning on the console and be playing in no time, with a PC you have to faff around a little bit more. But I was looking at my mates XBOX 360 playing HL EP1 and I thought it looked seriously pants compared to the PC version, couldn't believe how shoddy it looked.

One thing I think they need to design onto controllers is a roller ball, this'll make FPS a lot better on the consoles.

Well, I can either play CoD4 with crap low resolution graphics, horrible pop-in, distracting blur and a joke of an auto-aim feature, or I can play it properly.

People harp on about the power of the PS3 and the 360, yet games that are on both PC & console, look noticeably worse on the latter. This applies to every single multi-plat game under the sun.

Consoles are cheap, and developed to cater to the majority with simple control interfaces. So you lose a lot of the complexity of both the gameplay and the graphics. Unfortunately, as console numbers grow, and the PC market declines, an increasing number of people are being forced to resort to the cheaper alternative as that's where all the software is going now.

It's a damn shame. We won't see something as complex as Deus Ex or Eve Online on consoles, and we never will (The PS2 version of Deus Ex was extremely castrated and neutered compared to the PC version because of the prohibitively limiting aspects of the control interface).

You asked for which is better in terms of:

Lifespan: Do you think the PC is the same PC if you have to change from single core to Dual core\Quad core, New mobo, More Ram and new Graphics card to run a game?

Money: You think its better to constantly upgrade a PC to keep on playing current games during its life time? It's much more cost efficient to buy a PS3 at £250 with no upgrades required.

I've heard these arguments before but until recently I was running the first generation AMD64 with 1.5gb ram and a 9600xt and that ran everything I've ever wanted to play up to L4D, BF2 etc. Certainly had countless hours of use out of this for a good 4+ years of ownership - not bad compared to a console life.

4 years for a console life is terrible  People who bought a PS2 had 10 years to look forward to. PS3 is 3 years old and planned for about another 5-7 years. Even the SNES did 9 years

Jesus? These threads still pop up?

The only way to enjoy all the exclusives, and get the best gaming experience is to own a PS3, Xbox and a PC.

Otherwise you just end up trying to justify why you spending £XXX on which ever you chose is the complete and ultimate correct answer. Like this thread.

A PC is a much more versatile piece of equipment than a games console.
Comparing the two is kind of ridiculous, I don't think anyone owns a PC and does absolutely nothing but game on it.
Yes a PC is more expensive, but it can do more stuff.
I think it depends on what you like, as to what you choose to play on. If you like games like RTS then PC is definitely the way to go. For racing games or platformers I'd much rather play them on a console.
A PC has a shorter life but will do a lot more during its lifespan IMO. I still have an xbox though, and there are some games I'd always play on the xbox over the PC

Xbox 360 = cut down gaming pc.
Xbox 360 / ps 3 = 360 is overall better console.
so if an 360 is a cut down gaming pc that means a real gaming pc is better then a 360 and allso means a pc kicks the **** of a ps3:D:eek:

There we go Mathematics to pove pc is better
