And all of those prices should be in $ as there aint no way in hell the UK will be getting PS3s for Christmas.

It is hard to believe that Sony would make such a fuss about 1080p, HDMI etc and want to transfer all that HD goodness over 1 wire. Brilliant.

TBH how are they going to use the PS3 as a showcase for Blu-ray if they supply it with the lowest quality cable available (bar RF).

The majority of consumers will not know the difference in cable performance and think that they are getting the best available picture. I cant stand my 360 on composite and have to have it on component and this is at 480(i/p) I'd hate to see it in compoite on a TV that could do 720p or 1080p.

Just to add composite on my tv (capable of 720p and 1080i) looks terrible. Worse even than composite on a SDTV. (possibly down to the fact that the SDTV was a crt and my HDTV is a lcd)

True, my original Xbox looked so bad on my 42" Plasma that I went straight out and bought an RGB Scart cable. I didn't think that was much of an improvement either!
