Hi there,
I followed this video to get my PS3 controller working on W7 64bit - works a treat!
However, in DIRT2, the analogue steering is a bit off. It's kinda hard to explain, so bare with me.
The analogue steering input works as it would on the console. However, if I make a quick, micro-adjustment - however small - in any direction, the steering detects an instant "snap" 100% full lock as like when using the keyboard.
Essentially, I could go from zero (centered) to 35% left in an instant (say, zero time; thumb twitch) and the game would detect a 100% left input for the duration of the time spent off center. However if I move to 35% gradually, the input remains analogue and increases as I move the stick to the left.
So if I'm cruising down a straight at 120mph and flick out a quick left adjustment to avoid a puddle or something, the game detects an instance of full lock which results in massive oversteer and loss of control.
I've tried adjusting all the steering settings in game, and calibrating the controller in Windows, but nothing has fixed it.
Any ideas, gang? I hope I explained this unique and strange problem well enough.
