Hey,

I recently got my 40GB PS3 back after having a new laser fitted, but having problems with the controllers.

I can sync the pad via USB, and it maintains connection. However, when I turn off the console, I cannot turn it on via the PS button (either via bluetooth or via USB cable). Same problem with the bluetooth remote.

After Googling for solutions, I have tried doing a hardware reset on the console several times, reset the controllers via the small pin hole etc. no joy :(

Any suggestions please guys? Have the repair guys borked something?!

Cheers,

Suman

No idea, but maybe try your controllers (once synced) to a friends PS3 or vice versa to test? Should clear up what device is at fault.

That would be enough for me to go back to the repairers, not like theres another recent significant event that could it from working. You havent tried to stick a 'pipe' in it I hope? ;)

That came out wrong. Oh dear...

The PS3 should auto sync/pair controllers that get connected to it via a USB cable once its switched on.

When the controller is synced does it work normally once the the USB is unplugged (ie does the PS3 see it as been connected wirelessly buttons work etc..

Also just a thought - is the battery on the controller charged.

they have not plugged the blutooth module back in or the wire to it? i fix a lot of these and have had it happen a few times.

hope this helps .

Hey, yup after syncing everything works perfectly until the console is turned off.... When I turn it back on everything needs to be repaired. Pretty strange!

Gavindo, if the module was unplugged, then bluetooth would not work at all right?
