as every one who got a ps3 my controllers where wireless and for some reason now there not ..... i have 2 controllers and have left them both nor for 24 hrs charging (without using the ps3) and they still wont connect wirelessly they just flash a couple of times then switch of .... any help please ????:eek::(

yerh it connected but when i remove it it disconnects the link on both of them ..... so im at a loss they work on usb but not wireless

That's strange. It could be an issue with the bluetooth. I'm not sure how to fix it, but it's a problem that's cropped up with some other people before.

As I said, you're supposed to press the PS button.
Also, don't leave them charging for ages, because I hear rechargeable batteries lose their lifespan if you charge them for a long time.

i did it flashes then does nothing they are connected when on cable but once cable is removed nothing happens no connection

never new there was a reset button under the controller lol ahwell works now ty guys

So can the controllers work wirelessly at all? Can you press the home button when the Controller is wireless and does it still not connect? Well you can try to reset the controller, on the back theres a little hole that looks like a screw hole, get a small pin or toothpick then press the button to reset the controller.
The next thing to do is to do a restore to default factory settings, this will remove saved games DL stuff etc but if you havent DL them more than 5 times you can re download them. May want to do a backup before you do this. :)

lol to late i fail !!

There is? oO Where is it?

edit: doh, read the last post now. I always wondered what that tiny little hole is for. Learn something new everyday!

Turn off PS3.

Now, Plug a single controller in to USB 1
Turn on the PS3
Press the PS button when prompted
When it connects, plug in a controller to USB 2.

It should only happen if the charger is very cheap and doesn't check the batteries state, or you are using very old tech batteries (nicads).
I would be extremely disappointed if Sony were quite that cheap with the charging circuit on the PS3/controllers, especially as some types of battery can go *pop* if they are overcharged (and Sony have had enough problems with their batteries going pop that I would be surprised if they didn't take basic, cheap steps to prevent likely causes of it).
