Like the upside down Playstation 1's?
The faulty launch batch of Playstation 2's that scratched discs beyond repair?
The PSPs that had screens that would crack from minor contact?
Dreamcasts that were known for having their PSUs die?
The large batch of DS's that often had dead pixels?
Lol never heard of the PS1 or PS2 DRE's ? When you have pretty high tech components that are mass manufactured you're going to have some faults. As long as failures keep about 4% then its deemed acceptable, when it reaches the 30-40% mark then its a BIG problem. In the old days of Specys wobbly rampacks and dodgy PSU's used to be an issue as with the contacts in cartridge based systems of the same era, its always has happened and to a degree always will.

Anyway. Staying slightly within the topic. I took back my Elite which died on me to the store I bought it from.
After having them test it out in the back (was worried they were going to swap it for another elite) they brought out a new Elite and I put them in their place. Told them I want my money back.
£300 back. I bought it for £330 with 2 games 6 months ago so quite pleased. I can wait for some decent Elite bundles to come along and buy one. Should I happen to receive a email from someone telling me where there is a good bundle I wouldn't not read it...
