PS3 doesn't ship with a HDMI cable

Out of interest, how many current TVs use 24bit colour and above? I realise HDMI has the bigger power and picture quality ability, just on cheaper HDTVs that are coming out these days, I don't see there going to be a massive difference visible in component and HDMI signals, but if I'm wrong, I'm glad to be corrected.

Out of interest, well i reckon as the standard is only now finalised you be lucky to see many this year. The point is the console can make benifit of it and as fact will be the first device to utilise it. Chances are though the vast majority of people even half interested in the PS3 wont get one this Winter because of shortages.

Go back a few years on PC you had 16bit colour Vs 32 Bit the difference was noticable and v1.3 touts many benifits in the greyscale and contrast etc which the component wont be able to utilise.

Davy you could check out the new Sharp Range appearing soon with FULL 1080p models from 37" going to be availablle @ £1500 and even pre orders now going around for the 52" @ £2600.

They are reported to be HDMI 1.3 compatible but details are still thin on the ground.

Hope it helps.
