Hi,

I am having a bit of a problem with my PS3 picking up my external HD.

I have a Icy Box enclosure with a 300gb IDE drive inside it. The drive has been formatted as FAT32 but the PS3 will not pick it up.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

Does that really help him? He's already formatted to FAT32 (although I would double check this!) and the comments in that thread point to at least one other example of the same thing, but no solution (I doubt the drive is not compatible).

I have double checked it is formatted as FAT32 and have formatted it on multiple machines just to make sure. Used all the USB ports on the PS3 but still nothing :(

My 360 picks up the drive fine as well.

Hmmm, that's a bit of a git. Did you format it yourself using windows xp? If so would you be able to reformat it? Apparently this tool has fixed some peoples issues.

It was a start. I took 20 seconds to google it, posted it and got on with something else not computer related. If was of no help then sorry about that.
