So would i need to format HD to FAT32 ?

Also, iirc, FAT only allows a maximum partition size of 32 gigs, so you may need to have several partitions on this external drive.
Scort.

I currently have an external USB HDD that is 500Gb, 1 partition FAT32.[timko];12736174 said:WrongI currently have an external USB HDD that is 500Gb, 1 partition FAT32.
The only actual limitation that needs to be considered when using FAT32 is the 4Gb maximum size per file.
